At Church on the Hill we hold to the historical precedence of orthodox Christianity. Contemporary reasoning does not negate the *historical aspect of the Christian Faith.
We are committed to The Lord Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation. There are many religions, but there is only one way of salvation. Speaking to His disciples Jesus said in John 14:6 NIV "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
We are committed to the authority of the Holy Scripture, the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. In II Timothy 3:16 NIV the Apostle Paul says: (16) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, (17) so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In Matthew 5:17-18 NIV Jesus said: (17) "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. (18) I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
When Jesus speaks of the "law or the prophets" He confirms the authority of ALL Scripture and not just select passages. Further, the words of the Apostle Paul assert the inspiration of ALL Scripture. Scripture is the source through which ALL belief must be filtered.

We are committed to the persistent presence of The Holy Spirit with us indwelling in us as revealed in Scripture. In Acts 1:8 NIV Jesus says: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." The Holy Spirit is the driving force of the Church, and the believer.
